Twiga is Swahili for 'giraffe', which is not only an animal I love and that for a lot of people immediately associated with Africa, but it was also my avatar in my first anonymous blog from Congo.
I'm originally Spanish but have lived in a few other places, and I'm currently based in Cote d'Ivoire. My interest in Africa came by accident but it has now become almost obsessive.
This blog focuses mostly on African cultural manifestations (film, photography, visual arts, etc), as it's something that hardly gets any attention internationally. I also like to describe my travels around Africa and my daily life in the small Ivorian town of Abengourou.
